Our Mission
Anti-Energy, Green New Deal activists have brought an increasing disconnect between public assumptions and reality when it comes to energy and environmental policy.
We are an association of key supporters, influencers, business leaders, and thought leaders who are dedicated to combating misinformation and unapologetically promoting the benefits of America’s abundant, efficient, and responsibly-sourced energy through a united, fact-based, persuasive coalition.
The American Energy Principles
- Affordable, reliable energy is key to human flourishing.
- American energy dominance is a benefit to our economy, quality of life, national security, environmental stewardship, and efforts to end poverty around the world.
- Environmental policy should serve humanity, not the other way around.
- Unleashing the power of free-market innovation, not government manipulation or corporate collusion, is the best solution to energy scarcity and energy poverty.

Bud founded his first company, Brigham Exploration Company in 1990, on $30,000. Brigham Exploration was an early pioneer of aggressive technological innovation in oil and gas exploration, from 3-D seismic exploration in various basins during the 1990’s, to its industry leadership and success with horizontal drilling and fracking in the Bakken of North Dakota. Fast forwarding to today, Bud has founded six energy companies, three of which have successfully completed initial public offerings, and three of which have had successful exits totaling approximately $9 billion. Bud founded, provided seed capital to, and serves as CEO and Chairman of Atlas Energy Solutions, which went public earlier this year with a market cap of $1.8 billion.
